Stephanie Williams, LPC, LAC, TLO

Hey, I’m Steph - therapist, consultant, and coach.

I’m a Colorado native, forensic therapist, wife to an amazing man who is a firefighter and marine, fur mom, and house plant enthusiast. I established Synergy because it’s a reflection of not only who I am, but who so many of us are — people who want to be and do their best everyday, who can’t be boxed into a single interest or belief, and who can’t seem to stop the urge to learn and grow. People who are authentic and realize we’ve got one life to live. As a wise man once told me “live like you’re one minute out” and that’s what I strive for every day.

As a therapist, I work mostly with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. My clients range from college students to people working everywhere from a trade to the corner office of an executive firm to healthcare and public safety professionals to veterans. These people come to me because they want to feel better sooner than later. They don't want to keep dealing with the same issues they've been dealing with. They want a therapist that is honest, direct, and real with them - someone they can trust and who will give them feedback in a way that's helpful.

I help clients understand what they are actually dealing with, why the symptoms came up, and how to manage these symptoms. I'm practical and tailor my approach to each client's learning style so they can connect what they learn in session to their everyday life in the way that makes most sense to them.

The reality is we all go through stuff - that's life - and it's normal to have a response to what it throws at us. What matters is what you do about it. I'd love to help you put whatever you're dealing with in the rearview mirror so you can focus on the future and be your best self.

I’m not interested in being boxed in or limited. That’s why I offer such a range of services through Synergy.

Like you, I’m not “just one” thing - I’ve got multiple interests, hobbies, a diversity of experiences, and roles. I was raised a competitive athlete, which is why I love coaching so much. I get to help someone perform at the top of their game. As a coach, I help people create a blue print or game plan, complete with the information, skills, and tools they need to overcome or improve what they are facing. From figuring out how to stick to a budget (even when you’re in Target with that vanilla latte), how to nail that big interview, become more confident in social situations, and more - we’ll figure out what’s working in your favor and what we can improve to help you save money, land the job, actually enjoy that barbecue or work mixer, or whatever goal you’ve got your eye on.

Last but not least, I’m a consultant. Having worked as a forensic therapist in the field of coreponse and behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM), I’m passionate about passing on what I’ve learned to individuals, teams, and organizations. I’ve been lucky enough to build some of these programs and teams, and understand the quiet details that are often overlooked. If your team or organization is looking for someone who has the experience, gets the culture of public safety, and has the knowledge and tools to help you build a co-response or BTAM program - I’m your woman. Below is some of the services you can expect from me as your consultant, services can be added or removed based on your needs:
